A Baptist Sermon Touching Our Lives

Posted by admin in Church

We have been born into a religion that our parents belong to.  We may accept if for some time or come to embrace it up until now.  However there are instances that we seek to find a deeper spiritual awareness thus we jump from one church to another or to a different denomination.  We try to find more substance in the dogma of our religion.  When people shift from various groups they are searching for a place where they could say they belong.  Thus a Baptist church always welcomes new members into their congregation.

A Baptist church accepts as truth and put into practice points presented in the Bible.  The Bible is the solid and reliable guide to the right path in serving God.  The Gospel is regarded by Baptists to be the good news in that it promises us salvation.  As we are all born sinful, change of hearts and trustful obedience in the Holy Scriptures, particularly the Gospels would bring us closer to God.

Pastors give out Baptist sermons in every service.  These speak of many topics that revolve mainly on the Holy Scriptures.  Each sermon talks of the words in the Bible and how these are applied to our daily lives.  Any given sermon can touch lives of few who have listened, if not all.  There are sermons that may be appropriately “made” for you to let you attain spiritual maturity.  Overtime, listening to preaching of the Bible would let us live it by heart.

The Bible, being a best seller, teaches us of many things.  It teaches us to accept Jesus Christ as our savior lest we lose sight of God’s heavenly kingdom.  And once we believe to be saved from our transgressions, we are to be fully immersed in water, as the baptism of Jesus done by John the Baptist.  Thus it is in believing that you get to be a member of a Baptist denomination and not because you were born into it.  Believing is accepting the Holy Scriptures and thus you gain a deeper spiritual awareness.

A Baptist sermon can move you to be baptized in water.  Strong words taught knowledgeably may affect a person’s life thus giving hope for spiritual growth.  When we grow stagnant in faith more often than not there is something that pushes us to renew our faith and be one with God.  Keeping our faith suppressed may be spiritually unhealthy thus the Baptist denomination opens their door to those who have gone astray in their spiritual lives.
