0% Credit Card Secrets

Posted by admin in Shopping

Credit cards are a dangerous, dangerous thing.  More and more people fall into credit card debt each year, especially when the economy is the way it is.  On big thing to keep you out of credit card debt is to know the scheme behind all those 0% interest rate cards you see and are offered.  They typically are associated with large ticket items like refrigerators or televisions.  They lure you in by either offering 0% for 12 months or even no payments for 12 months.  Then it hits you, if you don’t pay the item off within those 12 months, you will be hit with the interest for the entire previous year.  If that isn’t enough, the rate will probably be something outrageous, something 25% or higher.  Be careful when offered a 0% or no payment credit card.  They will make their money at some point!

Shop around online for a rent back company that is regulated

Posted by admin in Shopping

The internet is a great resource for online shopping as you can buy and check out a wide range of things. One of the many ways you could use the internet to your advantage is when you are faced with mortgage arrears. You can shop around and look for companies that offer you the chance of selling your home for cash and the stay on in the property by paying monthly rent instalments.

There are numerous online companies offering you the chance to sell to avoid repossession. However some have been noted to be less than generous and have been accused of not giving the best deal to the consumer. In some cases they have almost been accused of ripping off the consumer in their hour of need and when they are the most vulnerable.

When shopping around for a company in order to ensure that you choose an ethical buy and rent back company look on their website to find out if they offer a regulated sell and rent back. If they do then they are under the ever watchful eye of the Financial Services Authority and are regulated by them so are committed to offering you the best deal possible for your circumstances.

How to Select Your Martial Arts Equipment

Posted by admin in Shopping

Author: Phil Burney

Many people are planning to start learning about martial arts nowadays but may not have taken into account the fact that they will need martial arts equipment to be able to practice this hobby or occupation. Here are some tips on how to get the best martial arts equipment you need:

1.Try to figure out which martial arts equipment you want to become proficient in. The uniforms in martial arts differ in design, color and use so you have to be specific about which uniform you wish to use. This also applies to your martial arts equipment since the martial arts equipment for one martial art may be unique to that martial art.

2.Find out what protective gear you need to be able to spar and train in your preferred martial arts. Protective gear as martial arts equipment is very important because the last thing you want is to get injured in a sparring session. Protective gear as martial arts equipment can be categorized either as head gear (like face masks and helmets), gear to protect your torso (like chest shields), gear to protect your groin (which is more for men than women, and may consist of a crotch guard or sports cup to shield your privates from being punched or kicked), shin guards to keep the shin area of your legs from being injured when you block a flying kick with your legs (since getting hit on the shin tends to be rather painful since there isn’t much flesh and muscle to shield your shin bone), feet gear (such as kicking boots, designed to keep your opponent from being critically injured if you should hit them with your legs or feet), and hand gear (such as punching mitts, used also to shield your opponent from the full force of your punches.) You need to invest in quality martial arts equipment as protective gear so you get the best protection possible.

3.You can also invest in practice martial arts equipment. This means getting punching bags (like those used in boxing), and martial arts dummies (which attempt to give you an idea of how to punch and kick a real human being.) Your punching bag can consist of either the teardrop bag or the bigger boxing-type punching bag. Martial arts dummies are basically like punching bags except they may be a bit bigger and shaped like human bodies. Though these martial arts equipment are no replacement for sparring and training with real-live opponents (because these practice equipment cannot dodge your blows or retaliate), they are very important to have around so you can get the feel for the sport.

4.There will be sports that require you to become proficient in certain martial arts weapons (which are also martial arts equipment.) However, you should always be careful when trying out such weapons in the first few sessions because you might hurt someone badly (such as yourself) if you don’t know what you are doing. If you are at the stage when martial arts equipment like weapons are necessary, then always pay attention to your instructor and learn how to master the weapons first. Often, such weapons were designed to maim your opponent and maybe even kill him so caution is always necessary in training with weapons.
Martial arts equipment were designed to work a certain way. Many martial arts equipment have a long history that can help you study how your preferred martial arts evolved. Study carefully how martial arts equipment are meant to be used and they can really help you become a better martial artist afterwards.

Dont fall into debt when online shopping

Posted by admin in Shopping

The internet has given us many things; we can do homework and research, catch up with the latest news and we can speak to relatives thousands of miles away in a different country. We can buy just about anything all from the comfort of our own home and without even moving from our favourite armchair. The internet has made it very easy to surf countless online shops and we can even do our monthly grocery shopping. As there is such a wide range of shopping options it can be all too easy to overspend.

It can be very easy to just click a few buttons and make the purchase, however all purchases soon add up as just as you can easily get into debt with credit card spending in the shops then the same applies to spending online, in fact as you are shopping without even leaving your home the chances of running up debts that you eventually cannot pay can be greater.

If you have got into the habit of online shopping and have overspent and are in debt then you need to cut up your card and take steps to clear your debts. If you have debt questions you need to stop shopping and use your computer to get in touch with an online debt management company who can suggest ways to break free of debt.

How to Choose the Right E-Cig for You

Posted by admin in Shopping

Many folks don’t realize the options they have laid out for them with the new electronic cigarettes on the market. Still a vast majority of people have never even heard of them, so it’s easy to purchase the first brand you come across and still feel as though you made the right decision. Here are a couple things everyone should consider before making their first e-cig purchase.

Does your e-cigarette come with a warranty? Like any other gadget or electronic device, there are going to be bad batteries and atomizers in the mix out there. Don’t get caught empty handed without a warranty on your device when you find it malfunctioning shortly after purchase. Due to the personal nature of the apparatus, most retailers will not offer refunds of any kind. It is best to shop around for a company that offers a good 12 Month Warranty on all their parts and replaces them directly through their inventory.

How much will you be paying for refills? Some smokers make the switch to save money more than their health but don’t consider how much more they could save by shopping for a brand that offers inexpensive refill cartridges! Don’t be fooled by cheaper starter kits and inflated refill cartridge prices. To ensure continued use of your electronic cigarette, you will want to be sure you will be able to easily reorder and afford it at any time. Some of the best refills on the market can come as inexpensively as one dollar each!

These are the two biggest pointers every e-cigarette shopper should be equipped with before making their purchase. Don’t be taken advantage of by crafty marketing schemes showing you “built-in” atomizers in every refill or difficult overseas warranties. Get a brand offering domestic warranty and cheap refill cartridges. Then kick back. Relax. Enjoy your new electronic cigarette completely worry free!

Grandmaster Tanemura’s Biography

Posted by admin in Shopping

He was born with the name Tsunehisa Tanemura on the 28th of August 1947, in the town of Matsubushi, which is located in Saitama prefecture, Japan. Tsunehisa was his given name, but later he took the name “Shoto” meaning the “Law of the Sword”. His father, Sadatsune Tanemura, was the 17th family head of a Samurai line, whose roots extend to those of the Emperors Uda and Seiwa as well as having blood ties to the famous daimyo of the Sasaki and Takeda families. He was an expert in kenjutsu (the art of the sword) and jukenjutsu (the art of the bayonet), as well as various schools of jujutsu (Shizen Ryu system) and Ninjutsu (Takeda system). Being a very traditional father, Sadatsune introduced his son to the martial arts at a young age. The younger Tanemura was taught from the age of nine by his father and father’s uncle, Kakunosuke Yamazaki, who was an 8th dan in the Onoha Itto ryu. He practiced unarmed techniques and sword almost everyday. The training was always serious. It was conducted out-of-doors and the students went barefoot, regardless of the weather. He was regularly beaten up and knocked unconscious. When he was knocked out, a bucket of icy cold water would be used to revive him. Once awake, he was expected to continue his training immediately. At the age of fifteen, he began to study Shindo Muso ryu Kenpo from the renowned Master Seishiro Saito. It was during these high school days that his quest for true martial arts was beginning take form and blossom. At the age of fifteen, Tanemura sensei also was fortunate enough to be initiated into the famous Asayama Ichiden ryu taijutsu along with Takagi Yoshin ryu jujutsu, Gikan ryu koppojutsu as well as other ancient schools of bujutsu (Japanese martial arts). His training was so concentrated, that he received his menkyo kaiden (full mastership) in Shinden Fudo ryu and Kukishin ryu at the age of twenty. During his university days, Grand Master Tanemura was introduced to Dr. Kinbei Sato. Even though Sato sensei taught martial arts to many people, very few (including Tanemura sensei, at first) knew of Dr. Sato’s training with Takamatsu sensei. It wasn’t until more than a decade later, that Tanemura sensei (after ending his relationship with another teacher and starting the Genbukan) rediscovered Sato sensei. He was given special kuden (secret oral teachings) and by the winter of 1989, Dr. Kinbei Sato named him as the next Soke (Grandmaster) of Takagi Yoshin ryu, Bokuden ryu, Gikan ryu, Kukishin ryu etc…

His Training and Development

In addition to his classes at the dojo, the Grand Master trained anytime he was free to perfect his skill and techniques. His bujutsu masters were all very strict and closely guarded the secrets hidden within the kata (technique patterns). Each movement was shown only a few times. Then, the students were expected to discover from experience, the special body dynamics which allow the waza (technique) to work in a real situation.
To truly master these techniques, Tanemura sensei drilled each technique several thousand times. Eventually, he discovered many kuden points, and made the technique a natural part of his movement. Living nearby woods, rice fields and riverbanks, he used everyplace as his dojo. Having natural objects such as trees, stones, animals always available, he used everything as his training partner.
Trees and stones were used to develop punching and kicking power, and served to strengthen the hands and feet. He’d punch and strike a tree until his knuckles bleed and his toes were numb. But, Takamatsu Sensei taught him a much better way to develop an effective defense. Tanemura sensei was told that a true martial artist passes by a crowd unnoticed. If his hands are callused in a certain way, people can tell that he is some sort of martial artist. Even the way that different budoka (modern martial art practitioners) stand or walk, can reveal much about their training habits. In a fight, the less an opponent knows about your strengths and weaknesses, the better chance you have to survive.
On clear nights, the Grand Master would also practice with Yari (spear) and Rokushaku Bo (six-foot staff). In a rice field, with the crickets and the praying mantises, he’d thrust for the center of the moon to improve his accuracy, and pierce barely visible leaves, as they swayed in the wind. With animals (usually dogs), it was easy enough to get them to attack. As they’d leap to bite him, he used taisabaki (natural body movements, in this case, evasion) repeatedly, until the animal would simply give up.

His Education and Mission

Tanemura sensei majored in law and graduated from Hosei University. But instead of becoming a lawyer, he wanted a career that allowed him to be out on the streets using his Ninpo and Jujutsu knowledge to protect and help others. When the Grand Master was just deciding what to do with his life, he was involved in a terrible accident. A truck crushed his tiny car, and the injuries Tanemura sensei sustained (including large pieces of glass in his face) looked so bad, that someone mistakenly reported that he had died. In the hospital, forced to consider that his brief life might soon be over, Tanemura Sensei asked for Heaven’s help. He promised to change several selfish things about himself, and dedicated the rest of his life to protecting others and teaching them to protect themselves.
At the age of twenty-two, he joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. From traffic cop to detective, his work as an officer enabled him to utilize and test all he had learned in the dojo. His skill was called upon on many occasions, and not once did it fail him. Observing his talent, his superiors allowed Tanemura sensei to teach ninpo and jujutsu to policemen at a special martial arts club. Later, he officially became a professor at the police academy.
After fifteen years of service, he felt in his heart the need to preserve true martial arts in the whole world (not just Japan). So he resigned his job as a Lieutenant to carry out this mission. Soon after leaving the police department, he founded his Genbukan Ninpo Bugei Dojo and organized the Federation.
On November 28th, 1984, Grand Master Shoto Tanemura started with just a handful of students in his Matsubushi dojo. Now his, black belt instructors teach thousands of dedicated martial arts in over 15 countries as well as the Grand Master having personally taught seminars worldwide.
